Something Blue: Shinu & Toby (8/29/15)
Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, and Everything Blue. This summer we had an incredible time coordinating Shinu and Toby’s wedding! This marriage was truly unique because our beautiful bride adores the color blue, almost as much as her dashing groom. Different hues of blue were integrated meticulously throughout the ceremony and reception décor.
On August 29th, the lovely couple tied the knot at the historic episcopal gothic revival church, St. John the Baptist in Stamford, CT. The bride was dressed to perfection in a beaded white silk saree lined with a gorgeous tiffany blue border. The groom looked dapper in a light grey tux, ivory vest and tie accented with a white and blue rose boutonniere, highlighting the theme.
Following the ceremony, guests were escorted to a beautiful cocktail hour set on a beach-front, at The Surf Club in New Rochelle, NY. Later, as guests entered the reception space, they marveled at the beautiful floral arrangements accentuated with blue lilies, roses and pomanders. The bride and groom sat in front of an extravagant backdrop decorated with gold mirrors, crystals, and you guessed it, blue drapery.
The rest of afternoon was spent in merriment with amazing dance performances, parody videos, and a dance party like no other. This was an incredible wedding, with an incredible couple and we are honored to have been a part of it. It’s true what they say; it’s really hard to hate the color blue.
Congratulations Shinu & Toby!
